Black Bloom Studio, here to help you enhance your natural beauty.

Does Microblading or Lip Blush hurt?

Answer:   A lidocaine based numbing aesthetic is used throughout both services. Black Bloom's brow service is pain free! Some sensitive skin clients may experience some discomfort during their Brow or Lip Blush service.  Discomfort is common during Lip Blush due to the lips being more susceptible to swelling.

TIP: AVOID SCHEDULING  YOUR APPOINTMENT DURING YOUR MENSTRUAL CYCLE. THIS WILL CAUSE NUMBING AESTHETICS TO BE LESS AFFECTIVE, THEREFORE MORE PAIN.

How do I know if I am eligible for Microblading or Lip Blush?

Answer:  First review Black Bloom's Pre & Post Care page for basic medical requirements.  All Clients should expect the Cosmetic Tattoo process (Microblading, Machine Shading and/or Lip Blush) to take a minimum of 2 sessions to reach their BEST RESULTS. Clients over 50 years of age may experience more FADING. It is common that a 3rd cosmetic tattoo session will be suggested. All Black Bloom Services come with 2 SESSIONS.  Additional sessions will be a separate charge, you can find pricing under "ADDITIONAL TOUCH-UP" on page Tattoo Services.

How long does Microblading last?

Answer:  Most common timeline to expect a touch-up is at the 2 year mark.  However some clients may experience faster fading and want a touch up every year and a half. These factors that are common with fading depend on skin sensitivity, sun exposer, lifestyle (smoking can accentuate fading) and hair color (lighter colors may appear to fade faster).

This is also common fading for LIp Blush.  However more vibrant Lip Blush pigments may last 3- 4 years before requiring a touch-up.

Most important tip is to follow after care directions. The more you deviate the more prominent fading may be.

I have a previous Brow Tattoo, am I eligible for a COVER-UP?

Answer: Most permanent make-up artist will suggest you receive a laser removal treatment before scheduling a Brow service. This depends on several factors of the previous tattoo.

Is the SHAPE symmetrical, does it fit your facial features well? - if your previous tattoo touches an area the artist does not want to tattoo again, then laser treatment is your best option.  You can ADD but not TAKE AWAY with just Cosmetic tattoos.

How dark is the previous tattoo? Most artist prefer at least 80% of fading. - if  old pigment is still prominent, then cover-up is more difficult or not possible.

How much does the client want to change? - Are we adding or changing?  Contact artist for a online consult.

ALL COVER-UP MUST BE SCHEDULED AS A "BROW SERVICE"  NOT AN "ADDITIONAL TOUCH-UP".
